Process

Design

A project begins with analysis of goals and parameters that will guide design. This involves review of existing conditions in a renovation, discussions of your needs and objectives, function and character of desired spaces and environmental considerations. We analyze your site and determine the best placement of the project and spaces within to capture views and sunlight.

Next we begin creating concept diagrams and rough sketches. Through a collaborative design process the size layout and character of the home are refined into a comprehensive set of floor plans and building elevations.

Document

Upon approval of this design we begin creating detailed drawings and specifications of the project to translate the design vision into the technical language of the contractor. These become the “blueprints” for your home and will serve to submit for permits, bid, and construct the final project.

Construct

Once detailed drawings are complete we assist in obtaining bids, negotiating contracts for construction and observe the construction to insure that the finished project meets your expectations.
