River Lodge passes LEED for Homes Final Inspection

August 30, 2012

The Susquehanna River Lodge passed a milestone this week as our LEED for Homes Rater conducted their final inspection yesterday. As part of the on site verification the LEED for Homes Rater conducted a blower door test to verify the airtightness of the home met the program requirements. The River Lodge passed with flying colors. Our infiltration score was 2.05ACH which far exceeds our requirements. The SIPs construction, ICF floor system and careful detailing of the building perimeter were key to achieving this tight envelope. We now work to finalize our documentation for submission to the USGBC. We are shooting for a LEED Gold certification but we still have some work to do. We will post more updates on the process so check back soon. You can find out more about the LEED program on their website.
